My name is Jordan Sabo, I'm a junior at Ledyard High School and I'm planning a volunteer trip with a group called Amigos De Las Americas to the Dominican Republic, where I will be living for the summer of 2016. During this trip, I will be living in a rural village with one other high school student from the US, and I will be living with a family and doing two projects in the community. One will be with the youth (running a four hour summer camp everyday, painting a school mural, etc) and another to build leadership with the teens & adults (building a school, working on getting clean water, etc.)
Hey everyone, I just finished my phone interview... and I was accepted into the program! I'm so stoked for this experience. I'll have more info within the next week!
